A culinary grade of Japanese matcha. Harvested in fall, this matcha is bold and earthy with strong astringency. Great for cooking or adding to smoothies. Not recommended as a straight up.
Prepping Suggestions: For a straight matcha drink, use 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder per 8 ounces of water. Begin making the drink by blending a small amount of water with the matcha powder. Stir or whip with a match whisk until completely blended. Top off with hot or cold water.
For a matcha latte, use double the mount of matcha powder and mix together with a small amount of water. Pour over a cup of hot or cold milk and sweeten with honey or sugar to taste.
