Our Yabukita Matcha comes from Shizuoka, Japan. Yabukita can be drunk straight warm or cold, or mixed into a trendy latte for an afternoon pick-me-up or as a morning energizer. Yabukita matcha has a rich and creamy green color. High in catechin, Yabukita’s prominent characteristics include astringency flavor along with vegetal notes, roasted rice, and butteriness to round it out.
Prepping Suggestions: For a straight matcha drink, use 1/2 teaspoon of matcha powder per 8 ounces of water. Begin making the drink by blending a small amount of water with the matcha powder. Stir or whip with a match whisk until completely blended. Top off with hot or cold water.
For a matcha latte, use double matcha powder and mix together with a small amount of water. Pour over a cup of hot or cold milk and sweeten with honey or sugar to taste.
