Gong Fu Cha

Gong Fu Cha is the most common way tea is prepared in Asia. Arguably, the best cup of tea can be made with a specific type of tea utilizing a specific brewing technique. Using a lot of tea and little water, this method allows the drinker to taste the tea's flavor profile change throughout several short steepings. Two teas are selected for this workshop, typically an oolong and a black tea or pu-erh. The hour long Gong Fu Cha Workshop is $40 for the first person and $20 per additional person up to 6 people total.

Japanese Matcha

In this workshop, Matt provides a thorough overview of matcha (Japanese powdered green tea) and its influence on a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Participants will learn how to prepare matcha several ways, but practice the traditional way using a bamboo whisk and a matcha bowl. High grade Ceremonial Matcha will be served and as tradition, a red bean mochi snack will be provided. The 45 minute Matcha Workshops is $40 for the first person and $30 per additional person up to 4 people total.
